What is FlexMile®?

  • With FlexMile® you pay only for the miles you drive, as opposed to a traditional car insurance policy.
  • You can purchase a set number of miles and lock in a rate good for up to 2.7 years (1,000 days).
  • Unlike other pay-per-mile policies, there is no base cost and no hidden fees. Your rate won’t increase over the period you use your miles.

What happens when I run out of miles?

We will contact you prior to your FlexMile® balance reaching zero to discuss your insurance needs.

What if I want to cancel or change my policy?

How can I view my policy and billing information?

I’ve been in an accident. How do I report my claim?

If you’re involved in an accident, you can always choose your own repair shop. If you need help finding one in your area, we can provide recommendations. What are my payment options?

That’s up to you! You can pay monthly, quarterly or all at once. (Policy must be paid in full within the first year.) Once you pay, the miles can last up to 2.7 years if you don’t exceed the amount purchased before then.

Mileage Tracking Device

What is the OBD-II Port?

The On-Board Diagnostics, version 2, (OBD-II) port (the “Port”) is provided in vehicles manufactured since 1996 and it is used to report vehicle diagnostics. This is also where you plug in the mileage tracking device (the “Mileage Device”).

Where is the Port located in my vehicle?

Typically, the Port is located under the driver’s side dashboard in the knee area near the steering column. If you cannot locate the Port, please check your vehicle owner's manual.

How do I install my Mileage Device?

Plug your Mileage Device into your vehicle’s Port. You will know your Mileage Device has been successfully installed when you see blinking lights. Installation should occur immediately upon receiving your Mileage Device and it should remain plugged in at all times.

Can I remove my Mileage Device?

The Mileage Device must be plugged into your vehicle at all times so mileage can be accurately measured. You may need to disconnect your Mileage Device when you get your vehicle serviced so that the service technician can access the Port. It is important to remember to plug the Mileage Device back in after vehicle servicing.

My Mileage Device is damaged. How do I replace it?

Please call us at 844-308-0389 to request a new Mileage Device.

Do I need to plug my Mileage Device into a rental car?

You do not need to plug the Mileage Device into a rental vehicle. The Mileage Device should remain plugged into the insured vehicle.
